This is a threadless pintype insulator.
This piece sold on eBay for $360.00 + $16 shipping on Aug. 19, 2004.
The condition was described as having "a hair line crack on the base a little over 2 inches long going up or maybe a flaw."
The seller was from Great Village, Nova Scotia, Canada so perhaps
the insulator was from that area.
