U-669
Marking:
This particular example has the 6-2 Fred M. Locke marking
on one side and is marked "VICTOR"AUG.27.1901 on the other side.
The 6-2 marking cannot be seen very well with only the first few
characters of each line readable but according to Jack Tod's (1988) book,
it is:
PATD NOV. 24 & DEC.15, '96;
SEP. 28, '97, JUNE 7, '98;
MAY 29, '00 & APR. 30, '01.
FRED M. LOCKE, VICTOR, N.Y.
Note the semicolons in the embossing. These could be seen in this insulator.
The bottom line of type is supposed to be twice the size of the others but
I think that may be an exaggeration. It certainly isn't the case with
this insulator's marking.
Color:
Tan
Notes:
This piece is glaze-welded with a sanded top.
This piece was mistakenly listed prior to Sept. 2, 2004 as a U-675.
